    • Develops work plans and follow up of implementation of ongoing project activities.
    • Assists in the selection CBOs to participate in the project, and coordination with the agreed partners.
    • Identifies, in coordination with partner CBOs, second and fourth grade students throughout Gaza to participate in an after-school tutoring program.
    • In coordination with CBOs, train unemployed university graduates to tutor children in math, Arabic and English.
    • Support, supervise and guide the tutors during scheduled field visits.
    • Ensures intensive trainings are organized in coordination with CBOs in a high quality manner ensuring work plans and timelines are followed.
    • Coordinate with Program Officers to ensure that education activities are coordinated closely.
    • Regularly conducts field visits to the project sites to monitor ongoing work.
    • Generate verbal and written translations of pertinent project documentation as needed/required.
    • Participates in relevant (external and internal) project evaluations and/or needs assessments.

    • Receive the applications of ex-detainees of Gaza region that require joining the education program.
    • Explain the program politics and help the ex-detainee trainee to join one of the local universities for bachelor or diploma degree.
    • Receive the monthly report of education program from the ministry branches and make one report about education program condition to the general director of the rehabilitation program attached with recommendations.
    • Be in contact with the ministry branches to solve the work complexes in education program within the coordinator responsibilities.
    • Be in contact with the general director of the rehabilitation program to solve the work complexes.
    • Receive semester report from the Gaza strip universities explaining the ex-detainee’s educational progress and the financial payment that the educational program should pay.
    • Audit the financial payment report of the universities and make a report to the general director of the rehabilitation Program.

    Training Advisor

    Training Department- Ex-Detainee’s Rehabilitation program

    From November/1999 to February/2002

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Meeting the Ex-Detainee’s in Gaza office and helping them in filing the rehabilitation application.
    • Help Ex-detainee’s in finding the suitable training whether it is vocational or educational training according to a future planned job of Ex-Detainee’s.
    • Make a request to the training department director to open the educational or vocational courses after having the enough numbers of appliers.
    • Make a monthly report to the training department director about the training process and including the condition of the budget of Gaza branch training, attached with recommendations.
    • Make a request of any Ex-detainee’s payment during the training process to the training department and receive the cheques from the training department to the Ex-Detainee’s.
    • Study the Ex-detainee’s economic condition and make request to the training dept.
    • Receive monthly reports from the training supervisor of the training centers to be in contact with the trainees’ condition.
    • Receive any complaints from the ex-detainee trainee making to solve the problem through the training department or the training supervisor.
